Anca Vlad, CEO of Fildas-Catena, was awarded the Trophy for Supporting the Conference on Early Education, at the Acorns Gala

Within the Acorns Gala – 15 years of excellence in early education, the CEO of Fildas-Catena, Anca Vlad, was awarded the Trophy for Supporting the Conference on Early Education. The “Excellence in Education” awards were offered to the supporters, as well as to the projects which contribute to the development of the Romanian society through education.

The trophy awarded to the CEO of Fildas-Catena, Anca Vlad, for supporting the Conference on Early Education was presented to Gabriela Dinu, Catena marketing specialist for the Mother and Child category. “On behalf of CEO Anca Vlad, I want to thank you very much for this award. Having coordinated the “Mother and Child” project, we can tell you that this award honors us and compels us to do even more good things for the children and for young people”, declared Gabriela Dinu.

Anca Vlad is the “Most Powerful Business Woman” in Romania, according to the Capital Gala – Top 100 Successful Women 2019, an award which is a recognition of the ambition and merits of our country’s most powerful ladies. The CEO of Fildas-Catena was also awarded the “Most Influential Business Personality” trophy at the Forbes Woman Gala, which has reached its 8th edition, ranking first in 2019 in the Forbes Top 50 Most Influential Women in Romania”, for the second year in a row.

Acorns Nursery marked 15 years from the inauguration of its first kindergarten, by means of a gala dedicated to performance in education and to the values which contributed to the constant evolution of this entrepreneurial project launched in 2004: perseverance, enthusiasm, passion, thankfulness. All these guided the steps of the Acorns team and of its supporters towards this moment and contributed to the development of strong connections in the area of early education in Romania.

About the “Mother and Child” project

For the mothers who want to learn how to take care of themselves, as well as of their children, in a correct and modern way, the “Mother and Child” booklets represent the best solution. Mothers are welcome to come to the Catena pharmacies, with the “Mother and Child” card (if they do not have it, they can get one on the spot in any Catena pharmacy), to receive the “Mother and Child Booklet”, appropriate for the child’s age, free of charge, as follows: “Preconception & Pregnancy – the Joy of Parenting!” booklet, “0-3 months – Baby’s coming home!”, “3-6 months – Baby grows up and plays”, “6-12 months – Introducing solids, the great challenge”, “1-3 years – The first “mamma” and speech”, “3-6 years – Preparing for school and kindergarten”, “6-8 years – The first school years” and “8-15 years – The challenges of teenage years”.

The funds collected within the Acorns Gala are directed towards the organization of the 6th edition of the Conference on Early Education, a project whereby the Acord Foundation provides free access to training provided by international experts in education to the educators and teachers within the public education system. The event on “Technology and the development of mathematical intelligence” will be held in the period 6-8 November 2019 in Bucharest and on the 9th of November in Suceava.
