Mrs. Anca Vlad, founder of the Fildas-Catena Group, was honored with the Diploma of Excellence and the Gold Medal at the Top 500 Romanian Companies Gala, organized by Capital magazine and Chimcomplex, on the occasion of the company’s 70th anniversary.

The event, held in Sibiu, brought together prominent figures from the Romanian business community, recognized for their performance, perseverance, and contribution to the country’s economic development. The distinctions were presented to Anca Vlad by Ștefan Vuza, President of Chimcomplex.

In her speech, Anca Vlad spoke about the challenges faced by the Romanian entrepreneurial environment and the need for greater predictability for young people who wish to start a business. She pointed out that the Fiscal Code now exceeds 900 pages and has been amended hundreds of times in recent years, making it one of the main factors discouraging young entrepreneurs.

Anca Vlad also mentioned her initiative on reducing bureaucracy, presented within Family Business Europe, where she holds the position of Vice President. She emphasized the importance of creating a simpler and more stable economic framework for family businesses, as well as of improving productivity within the European economy.

In closing, she spoke about the personal fulfillment that her professional journey has brought her, saying that Fildas-Catena “is a dream come true” and that she is “a happy mother,” as her children are now continuing the family businesses.
