The Fildas-Catena Group, founded by entrepreneur Anca Vlad, is just one step away from reaching 10,000 employees

Fildas-Catena, Romania’s largest pharmaceutical group, is approaching this milestone, with over 9,200 employees by 2025 working in its medicine warehouses and pharmacies.

The Fildas-Catena Group has added nearly 300 employees year over year (2,025 in 2025 compared to 2,024 in 2024) bringing this pharmaceutical company within striking distance of a total of 10,000 employees across its drug warehouses and pharmacies.

The pharmaceutical group founded by entrepreneur Anca Vlad is thus taking steps towards joining an exclusive group of companies set up by Romanian entrepreneurs that have crossed this threshold: Banca Transilvania, Digi, and Dedeman. To give you a clearer idea, a town such as Sinaia has a population of around 10,000.

“In an economy characterised by unpredictability and far-reaching digital transformation, a company’s true resilience lies in the quality of its team. The Fildas–Catena Group has over 9,000 employees. “People are the driving force behind innovation and the key competitive differentiator in the market; business performance is directly determined by collective expertise and the team’s ability to turn strategic challenges into added value,” Vlad Tigoiu, Chief Strategy Officer at Fildas Catena Group, recently told ZF.
