I had the advantage of going to a very good school, and I still love my teachers from ASE. I think that a child provided with education, the knowledge of foreign languages and the technicalities of a certain domain, can, without a doubt, succeed. There is no need for someone to open doors for you. The doors someone can open for you can also be slammed before you manage to get out. I don’t think doors opening is a success formula. Doors that are opened for you can be slammed before you can get out. I do not think that the open door system is really the key for success. I have seen business whose doors have been wide opened and have failed … You have to deal with problems in order to learn from their mistakes.
There are very few women among the top 500 business people. I did not expect to be so few after 20 years, although the number of women entrepreneurs is high in Romania. I wonder why. It could be the business growth risk beyond direct cooperation with people, you no longer know the names of the people you work with, you no longer know their family stories? For an entrepreneur, especially for a woman entrepreneur who likes personal relationships, growth means a great risk, which I have assumed.
