The 2015 Christmas Tree Festival Gala, the 15th edition

A traditional event of the “Save the Children” Romania foundation is the Christmas Tree festival – now at its 15th edition – basically a fundraising event whose earnings are intended to ensure access to education and diminish school drop-out rates among children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The event is due to the efforts of well-known designers in Romania, challenged to create artistic Christmas trees, to be subsequently sold as part of a charity auction, whereas the money collected from it would be used for the charities carried out by this prestigious foundation.

Set on investing in the education of children and youth, Anca Vlad, the president of FILDAS and CATENA Group, who took part in the event, as she has been doing for the past ten years, purchased the Christmas tree created by Doina Levintza – entitled “The orange-scented princess”.
