The Fildas-Catena Group, awarded at the Capital Gala Elite Companies 2024 for consolidating its leadership position in the pharmaceutical sector

The Fildas-Catena Group, founded and led by entrepreneur Anca Vlad, received the Award for consolidating its leading status in the Romanian pharmaceutical distribution and retail sector, at the Elite Companies 2024 Gala, organized by the business publication Capital.

The trophy was handed over to Mrs. Alina Marinescu, Catena’s CEO. “Thank you for this award, which once again confirms the value of our 100% Romanian brand, as well as Fildas-Catena’s contribution to raising standards in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector,” said the general director of Catena pharmacies.

The Elite Companies Gala has become one of the traditional events organized by Capital magazine, dedicated to “recognizing the performance of companies operating in the Romanian business environment and which have contributed to the development of the Romanian economy”.

At the Gala, the companies that have recorded the best performance in their field of activity, as well as companies that have stood out for the strategies they have implemented in recent years in the development of their business, were awarded.

On the occasion of the Elite Companies Gala, the 2024 edition of the Capital Top 300 Companies catalog was also launched. The catalog includes the most important players in the Romanian economy, their profiles and success stories.

Elite Companies Gala: Fildas-Catena wins “Leader in the pharmaceutical industry” trophy

Another honorary trophy for the Fildas-Catena Group, which crowns the work of a true team for over 30 years: “Leader in the pharmaceutical industry in Romania”, an award presented at the Elite Companies 2023 Gala, organized by the business magazine Capital.

The Elite Companies Gala is one of the benchmark events organized by Capital magazine, during which top companies operating in the Romanian business environment and contributing to the growth of the Romanian economy are awarded.

The distinction was presented to Mrs. Aurelia Babinciuc, Catena National Sales Director, and Mr. Vlad Țigoiu, Chief Strategy Officer Fildas-Catena.

“Thank you, Capital, for this superb gala. Congratulations to all the award winners tonight. Thank you for the award and the special trophy. We are happy and proud that a Romanian family-owned company is part of the top Elite Companies in Romania. Maintaining our leading position is possible with hard work done with passion, responsibility and professionalism by the entire team. To compile the list, the Capital editorial staff took into account criteria such as turnover, profit, number of employees and profitability.

Thus, companies that recorded the best performances in fields such as agriculture, automotive, banking and insurance, construction, energy, pharmaceuticals, logistics, retail, industry, and telecommunications were awarded.

Fildas-Catena received the Award for the development of the largest pharmacy chain in Romania

As the excellence and passion you have for what you do bring predicted results and are always rewarded, Fildas Catena Group received the Award for the development of the largest pharmacy chain in Romania, from the business magazine Capital.

The awards festival will be held as part of the Capital Gala Top 100 Performers in Health, organized by the Capital-Evenimentul zilei group, the award being handed to Alina Marinescu, General Manager of Catena pharmacies.

“I want to thank my colleagues once again. This award honors us, but it also forces us to maintain our position as leader in the pharma domain. Thank you to the Capital magazine for the organization of this gala. The Health domain is essential in Romania and I thank you for valuing its importance”, declared Alina Marinescu at the award ceremony.

“We think that performance must be rewarded and we think that Romanian society should build on Education and Health”, declared Dan Andronic, the owner of Capital-EVZ. 

Fildas-Catena Receives an Award at the Capital Elite Companies Gala

The Fildas-Catena Group, a leading company in pharmaceutical distribution and retail on the Romanian market, received the award for the “Most Profitable Company in the Pharmaceutical Industry”, within the Elite Companies 2022 Gala, organized by the Capital business magazine.

The award, handed over by Dr. Viorel Jinga, Chancellor of the “Carol Davila” Bucharest University of Medicine and Pharmacy, was received by Mrs. Alina Marinescu, Catena General Manager, alongside Mr. Daniel Enache, Catena Bucharest Branch Manager.

“Indeed, we are the leader on the pharmaceuticals market, we are the pharmacy chain with the highest number of units, a 100% Romanian brand and, alongside distributor Fildas, we are a Romanian success story. This is an award for the whole Fildas-Catena Group team, an award received following lots of hard work, mutual trust and professionalism. I wish to thank my colleagues for their commitment and for everything they did during these years, which were rather difficult for our industry as well”, declared Alina Marinescu.

Chancellor Viorel Jinga made the following statement: “As a doctor, I wish to thank all pharmaceutical companies for the millions of medicine boxes they distributed, as those are very important for patients’ treatment, but also from an academic point of view, because they help us with students’ and residents’ practice within the Faculty of Pharmacy. The pharmacist is a supporting pillar as far as the patient’s treatment is concerned, and yet the perception regarding this profession has somehow deteriorated. At the last admission exams we had a smaller number of candidates. Next year, we will be celebrating one century of pharmaceutical education in Romania.”

During the Capital Elite Companies Gala, the awards were directed towards the companies which, during the past year, registered the best performances in the main business fields, such as: the pharmaceutical industry, agriculture and food industry, banks and insurance companies, logistics, transport and courier services, energy, automotive, retail, construction and real estate, IT and telecommunications, as well as heavy industries.
